why not? I'm currently an exchange student in Canada and my english is not that bad, even though I still make some mistakes.
But I think the best and easiest way to improve your english quickly is to wach movies and series in english. Have you tried it?

je suis pas fort en anglais mais je survi lol si ta besoin d'ameliorer ton anglais rejoin moi.

You 're right but I'd like to add thing, someone who want to learn english have to speak it anywhere and very moment . Of course It will be very shame thing at the first time but It is the only way for being good at shortly.
